EnterSTEAM - The Project
The EnterSTEAM project tackles key educational and socio-economic issues across Europe and nearby regions, including gaps in digital skills, social inclusion, and labor market readiness. It combines STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education with entrepreneurship, inclusivity, and sustainability to empower students and teachers for today’s job landscape.
EnterSTEAM promotes digital tools and cutting-edge teaching methods to help schools adopt technology while encouraging active citizenship and environmental awareness. Drawing on non-formal education and vocational training (VET), it delivers engaging learning for vulnerable groups like Roma communities, refugees, and those facing economic hardship.
Prioritizing skills such as entrepreneurship, critical thinking, and social abilities in line with EU goals, the project features research, a digital toolkit, STEAM workshops, and outreach to stakeholders. These steps aim to align education with employment needs, boost cross-sector partnerships, and foster lifelong learning, ultimately shaping an inclusive, sustainable, and innovative education model.
Objectives
EnterSTEAM seeks to boost educational quality, inclusivity, and innovation by blending STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) with entrepreneurship, digital resources, and sustainability principles. It targets socio-economic gaps and digital divides while advancing social inclusion and stronger ties between education and job markets through these key aims:
Strengthening educators’ skills, especially in VET, to deliver training that matches market demands and opens new opportunities.
Enhancing core abilities like entrepreneurship, critical thinking, and digital literacy to support lifelong learning and career alignment.
Fostering partnerships across formal, non-formal, and vocational sectors to close divides and spark synergies in varied learning settings.
Supporting vulnerable populations, including Roma groups, refugees, and those in economic distress, with access to meaningful, inclusive education.
Driving creativity via hands-on STEAM activities that tackle real-life issues and ready students for upcoming challenges.
