MOM VIRTUAL ASSISTANT
Enhancing mothers' soft skills to help them stay in or re-enter the labour market
THE PROJECT
The MAV project, financed by the European Erasmus+ programme, aims to promote free access for new mothers (with children in the 0-6 age bracket) to a customised training programme on skills upgrading and focused on the application of the ‘superpowers’ of motherhood in the field of new digital professions, such as the Virtual Assistant. Recent international studies, in fact, have shown that motherhood can be considered a unique form of informal learning that is perfectly integrated in a woman’s continuous learning path. Motherhood is not a ‘hole’ in the curriculum!
Thus, intrinsic motherhood skills such as time and stress management, empathic communication, multitasking and problem-solving are soft skills that mothers can learn to enhance and put into practice in flexible working contexts, such as those offered by the digital industry. With the support of European funds, we want to support new mothers by facilitating their return to work or by supporting them in maintaining or changing their job position.
After the first phase of research on international best practices and their personal testimonies, a group of new mothers from the project partner countries (Italy, Spain and Belgium) will be able to access an innovative, online and 100% free training course, consisting of three main areas: digital skills, soft skills and business skills.
