National Workshop - Italy

The Italian national workshop of the Co-Baby project, held on June 27th, 2023, was an extraordinary event in the field of Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC).

Organized by The Apartment, the workshop brought together a community of sectoral experts, including educators, trainers, third-sector operators, methodologists, and managers, to discuss crucial topics related to quality, inclusion, and diversity in ECEC. The Apartment disseminated and presented the Co-Baby project, inviting attendees to share best practices in creating innovative child-friendly spaces. Through dynamic discussions, interactive workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions, the group explored innovative solutions to improve unconventional workspaces, adapting them to the educational needs of young children and their parents.

The event showcased how Co-Baby aims for innovation and excellence, seeking to develop inclusive and sustainable strategies in the field of early childhood education and care.

National Workshop - Slovenia

The national workshop in Slovenia was held on 22 May 2023 in Rakova Jelša City Park, where Mala Ulica runs summer holiday childcare.

The workshop was attended by 28 participants who are either already working as teachers, pedagogues, educators or are in the process of training in these fields. The workshop covered various topics such as: the importance of play for children’s early development; the importance of free and risky outdoor play for children’s well-being; the importance and understanding of children’s different special needs; how to resolve conflicts, disagreements between children, different types of injuries and unforeseen situations; how to communicate with parents.

Throughout the workshop Mala Ulica has pursued activities that follow the principles of providing high quality ECEC services in non-formal settings.

National Workshop - The Netherlands

ISSA organized the national workshops for Co-Baby project on two separate occasions.

The first one was held between April 3rd and 5th 2023 in Budapest, Hungary. The Co-Baby workshop was held as a part of an event where ISSA staff provided training for professionals and practitioners working with young children and families in diverse contexts.

The second one was organized within an online training on supporting the early childhood staff in terms of professional development. The training took place on April 12th, 2023. The workshop focused on the importance of early childhood development, how as ISSA, define child- centered pedagogy and quality pedagogy for early childhood professionals and educators and help them acquire the necessary skills to respond to each child’s needs and empower their growth and development in a nurturing and stimulating environment. In total, 55 people participated in the national workshops.
